Patricia Hanley, MD, is a member of the family medicine and urgent care teams at Victory Medical Center in Westlake, Texas. She has been in practice for 20 years.
Dr. Hankley completed graduate studies in analytical chemistry and medicine, followed by postgraduate training at Central Texas Medical Foundation in Austin. Dr. Hanley’s experience ranges from volunteer work as a family practice physician at community clinics to working as an environmental chemist for the city.
Though born in Philadelphia, Dr. Hanley was raised by a single mom in Florida. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Florida in 1979. She came to Austin for graduate school and worked as a chemist for the city of Austin. She graduated medical school in 1988 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Her residency was at Brackenridge in Austin, and she has worked in lovely South Austin since.
She lives in rural Travis County and strives to be environmentally responsible. She is conversant in Spanish, is an avid reader, and has no television. She lives with Tim, an incredible chef and oenophile, who can also wield a chainsaw. She blames all her middle-aged weight gain on Tim. Tim’s grown kids, Francis and Augusta, are nearly perfect and don’t visit enough. The family’s nearly perfect pets are Chris, the geriatric dog, and Ruby, the black cat.
